ANTI SWEDEN — PUTTING REBELLION BACK TO DENIM! FEATURING ART FROM THE GORE ARTIST JUSTIN BARTLETT AND MUSIC FROM STEPHEN O´MALLEY FROM SunnO))) ON THE ART VIDEO PRODUCED FOR THIS ONGOING PROJECT.
— Project ANTI SWEDEN — Our first project created for Anti Denim, which had a massive impact beyond our wildest expectations and has been a catalyst for exploring themes of darkness even further through the brand. Our two first edition models 666 and Jezrebel sold to 10 Corso Como and received significant international press through many media outlets included the internationally renowned design, fashion and lifestyle magazine, Wallpaper. Project Anti Sweden was a collaboration with gore illustrator Justin Bartlett and all material was shot in NY with renowned photographer, Alex Freund. — These first limited edition pieces are now sold out but we continue to develop Anti Sweden 666 and Jezrebel. A new series with new edition detailing and dark illustration variations will be available through our store and through partners. When Project Anti Sweden launched in March 2010, we wanted to use our experience and knowledge of design to create our own brand - a brand that reflected our love of fashion, of graphic design, and which reflected the unremitting darkness that is at the heart of the Norwegian identity and is the seat of true Black Metal. Anti Sweden became that unholy creation! We are aiming to once again take rebellion back to black jeans! — As Norwegians we dare to challenge our bigger neighbors, Sweden, who are renowned worldwide for their recognizable Scandinavian demin brands, including Acne and Cheap Monday. With Anti Sweden we took up the friendly fight that has existed between our two countries ever since the liquidation of the alliance in 1905. While minimalism is at the heart of both Scandinavian countries, we Norwegians embrace the dark and the occult as central to our identity. Anti Sweden is Black Metal going fashion.
